Did you hear it? Belgian (youhou!) Maison Martin Margiela is collaborating with H&M! They will launch a - probably amaziiiiing - ladies collection in november (Nov. 15th). Can't believe this! Martin Margiela at H&M prices?! I need to see this. Can't wait to see the collection!
I must say I'm kind of surprised. MMM never really did commercial moves and now they will be collaborating with one of the most commercial brands ever, H&M? It's really unexpected! And I'm not sure they loyal fans will be very pleased about this step. I am for sure very curious about it...

outfit 70: magnum

This is actually not a recent outfit. I wore this when I did the Magnum Pleasure Hunt in Brussels. Magnum (you know, the ice cream) organized a whole tour in Brussels with shops. They also made a "bar" where you could have free ice creams, massages and manicure. I went with my mom (who totally fell in love with the music at the bar) and it was very cool. I didn't buy anything though. I wore this with white all stars, because it still hurts when I wear heels :(.
Anywaaaay, I did a shopping break monday and went to the 3-euro-sales at Think Twice (vintage store). I scored some pretty nice (DIY) stuff that I will show you sooooon. So stay stuned (don't forget to follow me hihi).
wearig:
pants - ZARA (10 euro on sale)
T-shirt - COS (my mom's)
blazer - H&M (20 euro on sale)
watch - fake CASIO (5 euro) (you can get your real one here)
What an expensiiiive outfit, haha.
Ps: Sorry for the bad qualite pictures! My reflex died when I was taking them, so I switched to my compact one...

outfit 69: crocodie
So so, last post I told you I wore a similar outfit with the Lacoste sweater (similar: here & here)! Well her it is. Underneath the sweater there is actually a lovely white dress. I wore this to a lovely bbq. It was soo much fun (but so hot!). So I took the sweater of and belted my white dress. Multifuncional!
I'm so in love with this sweater (I already said it, but, really, I am!). I'm just so happy I found it, and for only 4 euro (which makes it more wonderful). Speaking of prices, I just found that that the bag I got from my grand mother, the bag that I take everywhere (also to student parties where they throw beer at you) is actually worth €200, haha. It's from this brand called "Il Bisonte". Oups.
I'll leave you here, because duty (a.k.a my study books) is calling. Enjoy your day, dears!
wearing: dress - unknown, sweater - Lacoste (4 euro), belt - River Island (got it with some shorts), shoes - H&M (20 euro on sale), bag - Bisonte.

5 ways to wear it: the sailor dress
Hey hey!
How are you all doing? Did you enjoy the sun (while studying, like me)? Of course spring (or even summer!) had to pop up just the day when I started stuying. Ty-pi-cal. You might say that I could study in the sun. That's true. But the screaming children, the guitar playing neigbours and the 'barbecueing' (laughing) adults are not so easy to study with. But I heard the bad weather is returning :p, haha.
Anywaaaaaaay, I bought this cute little H&M dress a week ago for only €15. Not the wow-dress, I agree, but sooooo practical! So, I thought I show you 5 ways (oh, I could have at least done 10 with this dress!) to wear this dress. I think it's a good new idea, don't you think? Maybe I will show you some outfits you didn't think about before! Plus, those are reaaaaaly affordable outfits!
1. Cropped mint
I wore this actually some days ago! Because the bottom of the dress is very wide and flowy I thought that it would match a cropped sweater. I also love the contrast of pastel and flashy colors with blue and white. I wore this with my watch that I always wear (the fake Casio :p). I also totaaaally fell in love, back in March, with those silver sandals. Couldn't be happier when I saw they were on sale for 6 euro (I even hesitated to buy two pairs, but there was only one pair in my size). This is the kind of outfit I would wear to go in town, to do some shopping and stuff!
wearing: sweater - H&M (15 euro), dress - H&M (15 euro), sandals - Oysho (6 euro on sale), watch - fake Casio (5 euro)
3. Striped army
I have a 'stripe' theme party after my exams and I think I'm going to wear this. Striped dress + striped belt = perfect striped combination. I am obsessed with this jacket, I wear it aaaaall the time when the sun is shining (by that, I mean, when it's warm :p). Those heels are also my little babies. My mom bought them years ago but they were too high for her so she gave them to me. Most comfortable shoes ever (wedges) and they go with everything too!
3. Romantic white
I wear this sweater A LOT. Bought in a vintage shop for... tadadam... 4 euro (and it's Lacoste). I don't really like white sweaters and jackets, but this one is actually just perfect. The oversized shape is totally my thing! And it goes again with everyhting. Here I would like that the dress looks like a low waisted skirt for a more girly, romantic feel, but still very comfy! I wore a similar dress to a diner party that I will show you soon :).
4. Floral sailor
A shirt doesn't always have to be formal. If you tie the ends of the shirt, like I did here, it gaves it a very casual feel. I'm also a huge fan of stripes combined with floral patterns. So the choice of the (3 euro hum hum) floral sandals (which also give an extra casual feel) was obvious to me!
wearing: dress - H&M (15 euro), shirt - New Look (9 euro on sale), shoes - Pieces (3 euro on sale); Did you notice how unexpensive this is?!
5. Formal marine
The combination of red - bleu -white is obvious and great! I really like that red touch (it doesn't have to be too much) and the bleu sweater gives it a more formal look I think. Would wear this to the restaurant or to an oral exam (brrrr...).
wearing: dress - H&M (15 euro), sweater - COS (20 euro on sale), necklace - Forever21 (gift from stylist), wedges - Francis Ferent
So, I hope it helped and inspired you :p! I would also love this dress with a bright colored blazer (red or turquoise!). Or with a colored belt (like yellow). Or with a floral shirt, or silk shirt (I can go on and on!) Don't be afraid to try things out!
Which outfit is your favorite?

birthday party: the movie
Hey loves!
Here's a movie I made of my birthday party last month! It was amaziiiiiing! I still can't wear heels, though :(. But it doesn't really matter, because I have to stay home... to study. Great period of the year. But I can't wait for summer (I might do a roadtrip!)!
So, there were some surprises at my birthday party. My friends made a flash mob on the song of Black Eyed Peas "I got a feeling". I didn't expect it at all, it was soooo cool, even if there dancing skills aren't the best, haha!
Second surprise: my best friends arranged a group of dancers. You have to know that my party was a 'invite-only' party, so when some friends came to me asking who those guys (a.k.a. the dancers) were, I wasn't very pleased :p. So I went talking to them and they were saying "We were invited by the host". Wich was impossible, since I was the host. Than the music started and they began to dance. I felt sooooo bad because I was so mean to them :P (but that was the point!).
In the beginning of the film, the female DJ is... my mom. And the men in orange dancing - if we can call it 'dancing' - is my dad. The guy with the 45 T-shirt (also dancing) is my brother and is also a DJ :p. I had four DJ's: my mom, my brother, my boyfriend and my uncle (but he's a pro in Shanghai!), hahaha!
Let me know what you think. It's also an oppurtunity to show you my dress in motion (waaaaw).

a shame: velcro sandals
Say hello to a new section on the blog called "a shame". Remember the T-shirt with holes from Balmain that cost about 1 036 euro. I repeat: 1 036 euro for a ripped T-shirt with holes... Are they kidding? Well, this section is all about the crazy designer who make very ugly of very simple things and sell it at prices ten times more expensive than it's actually worth it. Let's start.
I couldn't believe the uglyness of this sandals by my oh so beloved Stella McCartney (one of my favourite designer - I feel kind of ashamed saying this right now). What was she thinking when designing those sandals? Has she lost her mind? Can't believe Stella McCartney would design something like this! I mean, velcro sandals ? Really? No, but, really? Help! And you know how much they cost? €258 (Well, it's still better than the ripped T-shirt!)! Who wants to spend €258 dollars on those shoes, when you can have these Stella McCartney sandals for €238?! Or these ones for €92,82 (also by Stella)?! Or for - oh my God - these beauties? I think you get my point, right?
I mean, iiiiieuw!

style rules: thights vs. legging
Hi guys!
Let me introduce to a new section on the blog! Here I will give you my tips and rules on how you can get even more fashionable! My mom was in the business for a long time, so I learned a looot from her. For example, I never wear gold because it doesn't go with my skin type (I only wear silver)! I really hope I'll help you with your fashion sense!
Let's start with our first topic: thights and leggings (often confused, isn't it?). I'm more of a thight person, but I sometimes do wear leggings, but when they are hmm special.

Thights with shorts

Thights with skirts and dresses.

Leggings
Tights vs. Leggings
We’ve all seen women strutting their way down the high-street in some skin-hugging leggings over recent years, as this retro trend gains public affection once again. Unfortunately, for every woman who successfully manages to sport a pair of decent leggings, there are another three women clad in glorified tights, flashing their bulging thighs and underwear to all who venture past.
Whilst tights have their place in our wardrobes, this does not mean that they can act as a substitute to leggings. So what exactly is the difference between tights and leggings? And when should you wear each one?
The difference between tights and leggings
The primary distinction between tights and leggings is that tights are usually made of far thinner material. This means that leggings are produced from a thicker material and give the wearer more protection from cold weather. Another common feature of tights that is rarely seen in leggings is the way in which they cover your feet.
When to wear tights
Tights are a great look when wearing skirts. They combine brilliantly with a pencil skirt, shorter dresses or shorts, and add that extra little something to your look. As well as accentuating the best features of your legs, tights provide extra protection and cover your skin well.
When to wear leggings
Leggings provide a little more protection, and are a great look when combined with short skirts. These also look great with long tops or shirt dresses. They cover the wearer nicely and won’t leave you exposed in undignified situations like tights have the potential to do.
Leggings have another great advantage when it comes to creating a fashionable look as they come in a far greater variety of colours, patterns and textures. This means that they are far more versatile when it comes to mixing and matching with the rest of your wardrobe.
When not to wear tights
Tights can get you into a little trouble where you’re wearing shorter items of clothing. Their transparency can cause embarrassing moments, so if you are going for a shorter skirt, make sure you pair it with leggings to keep your dignity intact.
As you can see, both leggings and tights are useful for different occasions. What you decide to wear will depend on your personal preferences and the other clothes that make up your outfit.
I hope this helped!

the hair: wavy curls

Last post, I told you I had a sock in my hair! I have really difficult hair when it comes to updo's and stuff: It. Won't. Stay. Up. It's really annoying and ugly, so, when I found this video and YouTube, I thought I had to try it out (I was bored). I took an old sock of my boyfriend (he doesn't know, I hope he's not looking for it :p) and cut the "toe part" and tried it. I think I almost cried of joy (okay, I might be exagerating...). I just couldn't believe my hair stayed up! So now that's my little trick and it will last all day! The bonus part? The next morning you have these amazing wavy curls. Since I don't have an curl iron, I tried this method with wet hair and let the hair do all day and night. The next morning I had this beauuuuutiful curls (on this pictures, there are only waves and some curls). So this hair method is actually good for updo's AND also for curls! Couldn't be happier! You have tro try it out, it's sooo simple (no products needed)!
Try it out and tell me how it turned out, please!!
I didn't used any products (as I said). Only bobby pins and an elastic (and of course the sock!).

outfit 68: lilac

On my birthday, I went vintage shopping and saw this lilac sweater that I totally fell in love with! I also found a Lacoste cream knit, which is just awesome! Can't believe I only paid 4 euro for each!
Monday I went to class and thought I'd wear my new favourite sweater (washed, of course). I put on my wool coat above it and wanted to wear my wool scarf too, but forgot. When I got out, it was so HOT. I walked to my bus station and God, it was way too hot. I really felt like an idiot when I saw everyone at the bus station wearing skirts bare legged and guys wearing shorts. I immediately took of my wool coat, but still felt stupid with my warm knit, haha.
Then I went shopping with my mom and bought this lovely dress at Mango for only €19,99. I will show it to you soon (depends on the weather). Then I went to the movies with my dad, sis' and stepmom. A nice (and hot) day, it was!
By the way, what do you think of my hair? What if I tell you, there's a sock in it? Haha, more details coming soon!

wearing:
sweater - Vintage (Think Twice) (4 euro)
pants - Zara (40 euro)
watch - fake Casio (5 euro - bought in Madrid)
